Tragic Multi-Vehicle Collision Claims Lives in Agra's Khandauli Area Late at Night
A tragic accident occurred late at night on the Yamuna Expressway in Uttar Pradesh, leaving four people dead and one critically injured. The horrific incident took place at kilometre 161 in the Khandauli police station area of Agra at approximately 1:00 AM.
The accident began when a truck and a canter collided on the expressway, forcing the canter to halt in the middle of the road. Shortly afterward, a car following behind stopped, and the occupants got out to check on the condition of the canter’s driver and cleaner. While they were enquiring about the well-being of the individuals, another car approached at high speed and ran over the group. The impact proved fatal for four people, who died on the spot, while one person sustained critical injuries.
Upon receiving information, the local police immediately rushed to the scene. The injured person was quickly admitted to SN Medical College for urgent treatment, while the bodies of the deceased were sent for post-mortem examination.
The incident has left the local community in shock and raised concerns about road safety measures on high-speed highways like the Yamuna Expressway, especially during nighttime. Authorities are continuing their investigation to determine the exact circumstances that led to this devastating chain of events.
