Shortage of medicines in Medical-Mayo Hospital
Nagpur: Recognized among the largest hospitals in Asia, Government Medical College and Hospital and Indira Gandhi Government Medical College are the base for poor patients. But even here cases of shortage of medicines are coming to the fore. In medical, Mard’s doctors hand over a list of expired drugs to Dean.
There is a stock of about hundred types of medicines available in Medical, Mayo. But in the current situation, the stock of medicines in almost all the wards including Casualty, Operation Theater has come down significantly. Due to this, a very difficult situation has arisen in front of the doctors serving the patients. Here the condition has become so pathetic that while writing the prescription at the hands of the relatives of the patients, they are mentioning the surgical gloves along with the medicines. A memorandum has also been submitted to the Dean and the Medical Secretary on behalf of the Mard organization regarding the expiry of the drugs.

IV Set, Saline Bottle, Catheter, Intracath This Surgical Instruments Also Noradrenaline, Adrenaline, Anvil, Amoxicillin, Neostigmine, Glycopyrrolate, Atracurium, Vecuronium, Ketamine, TT Injection, Betadine Plus Solution, Drop, Tropicamide Plus Solution, Drops, The stock of medicines like Dycano, Rantac, Perinorm, Calcium Glucono Gluten, Deriphyllin, Aminophylline etc. is almost exhausted.
