No Covid-19 deaths in the region for the first time since the first wave.

Nagpur: No district in Vidarbha has reported deaths due to Covid-19 on Thursday. This happened for the first time after the rise of the first wave in September. Even when the first wave subsided in January and cases had dropped dramatically by mid-February, Covid’s death was still being reported in at least one of the 11 districts in the region.

Daily deaths have dropped dramatically since the beginning of July. The highest number per day in July is six so far. On Thursday, Nagpur province reported no deaths on the sixth day in a row, Yavatmal on the 33rd day in a row, Gondia on the 19th day, and Bandara on the 15th day in a row.

The decline in mortality is a strong indication that the spread of Covid is now well managed, with patients receiving hospital beds and more than 99% recovering at home. The impact of immunization and antibody growth is evident in the region. Expert members of the Covid team suggest that this is the best time to offer a full unlock relaxation in Vidarbha.

Forty-four new cases were reported in the region on Thursday and 82 patients recovered. More than 12,000 tests were conducted in the last 24 hours. The number of tests were reduced as it was a holiday (Eid) on Wednesday. However, the positivity rate (TPR) remained at 0.36%, down 0.40% for the fifth consecutive day. Such low TPR is another good regional indicator.

Currently, there are only 767 patients under treatment in Vidarbha. Without them, 35% (267) are in the Nagpur district alone. The majority of patients are under home isolation. Hospital beds, including O2 beds, are unoccupied.

Yavatmal: The region did not record deaths on the 33rd day in a row, keeping the figure at 1,789. There have been five recoveries. There are currently 14 patients being treated.

Of the 72,789 cases so far, 70,989 have recovered. The recovery rate is 10.47% and the mortality rate is 2.45%. The daily recovery rate was zero on Thursday.

Amravati: Nine new cases and no Covid deaths on the fourth consecutive day took the case to 96,439

Wardha: No new cases and no deaths were reported in the district on Thursday, while 10 patients are recovering. The total reprieve reached 47,999, leaving 29 active cases.

The district case remained at 49,352 after no new cases were reported from 355 probation reports. The fee remains unchanged at 1,324.

Chandrapur: On Thursday there were five new cases, six recovery and zero deaths, leaving 116 patients treated.

Akola: Of the 501 tests performed in the last 24 hours, four were found to be positive. Receive three patients a day. To date, the district has recorded 57,735 cases, of which 56,554 have been found dead of 1,133 deaths. This leaves 48 patients treated.

Washim: Three new cases were reported and many people received help from Washim. So far, out of a total of 41,627 cases, 40,947 have been identified. The district has 57 patients treated.

Buldhana: The region conducted 842 tests and four of them were infected. Five patients recovered. Currently, only 19 patients are under treatment in Buldhana.

Gadchiroli: Eight new cases were found in 292 trials in Gadchiroli in the last 24 hours. 13 patients recovered. Currently, 90 patients are being treated in the sub-district.
