The Union health ministry has said the states have not provided any information on deaths of Covid patients in hospitals due to lack of oxygen.
A hospital owner’s point of view is “Even if a patient does die due to oxygen shortage or lack of hospital beds, doctors have to technically write the cause as “cardio-respiratory failure”. That is the usual procedure. That’s because oxygen or bed shortage is not a medical condition, but a physical one. That’s how the govt lied in parliament today, they were being technical.”
That’s like the police reporting, victim was not ‘murdered’. The cause of death was intentional rupture of internal organs by an adversary using a sharp object and excessive bleeding..
Similarly, the centre has been making statements like these…Technically it might be true!
